Warranty and Returns Information

EQUIPMENT:  Houston Communications Inc. provides the standard warranty from the equipment manufacturers.  A typical warranty for two way radio equipment would be one to three years on the radio and one to two years on the radio batteries.  Parts and accessories are generally warranted for one year. 

WARRANTY SERVICE CENTER: Houston Communications Inc. is a Factory Authorized Warranty Service Center for the brands of radio equipment we sell and service. This includes Motorola, Vertex Standard, ICOM, David Clark, Maxon, and others. Warranty services are performed in our Service Shop in Sugar Land, TX as well as at the manufacturer's depot facility--at HCI or manufacturer's discretion.

We stock the most common replacement parts in our Service Shop.  Our Shop occupies 3000 sq ft and is equipped with state of the art test, repair, programming, and engraving equipment.  Our bench and field technicians average more than ten years experience installing and servicing all brands and types of two way radio and wireless communications equipment. 

We also provide many types of short and long-term maintenance contracts for two way radio, CCTV/Security, Access Controls, Broadband Wireless Communications (including WiFi), and Business VOIP Equipment and Services.

INSTALLATION:  Houston Communications Inc. performs installation services at the customer’s location(s) and in our 10,000 sq ft Installation Service Center.  Most of these are in the metropolitan Houston Area, but we have installed radio communications equipment in locations outside Texas and several outside the United States.

For standard projects Houston Communications Inc. warranties our labor for 90 days.  Longer periods are negotiable for special applications or situations.

RETURNS: Houston Communications Inc. allows returns of non-special order items within 30 days of delivery subject to a 25% restocking fee. Special order items are non-returnable. Purchaser is responsible for any freight or delivery costs to get the products to HCI's specified location for the return. All returns require a HCI RMA # to be issued. No return is accepted without this RMA # being authorized. Returns are authorized solely at the discretion of HCI.
